Project Description

Vaucluse Renovation & Extension

This renovation and extension of an existing home in Vaucluse is a perfect example of how a well thought out and designed pool & garden, can make a huge difference to the look and feel of a home.

The modern extension to the rear of the home has a unique and visually striking curved roofline, constructed with roll formed structural steel to create the wave-like look which also cantilevers out over the outdoor dining and living areas.

The rear elevation of the home is almost entirely made up with large floor to ceiling stacking doors to create a great connection to the pool and garden and to enable the link from internal dining and kitchen to the outdoor areas for entertaining.

Another unique feature is the sandstone “crazy paving” that has been used throughout including interior, exterior and around the pool, helping to create a seamless transition from interior to exterior and helping to make the individual areas feel bigger as they blend in with one another. In addition to the extension, the remaining house was fully renovated including new bathrooms, kitchen, windows, floor coverings and painting. All electrical wiring, security system and plumbing were replaced in the renovations.

Jakin Homes and Pools also undertook the pool and substantial landscaping works including, fences, retaining walls, turfing, irrigation, garden lighting and planting.
